Our community is growing, currently at approximately 11k residents, and we are all working together to fund our brand-new state-of-the-art public playground.
As a popular outdoor recreation destination, we host approximately 100k visitors annually.
Adding a modern, ADA-accessible playground amenity will provide countless developmental benefits to our local children and their families and an opportunity to access play, adventure, and educational opportunities in nature for our annual visitors.

We’ve developed a new, inclusive, ADA-accessible playground design packed with features to welcome kids and families of all abilities to learn, play and grow together.
A well-designed, inclusive playground enables children of all abilities to develop physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally.
DESIGN

The main structure, designed for ages 5-12, features infinite ways to play on the 28 built-in activities, offers built-in shade panels for hot summer days, as well as full shaded coverage for the dynamic ground-level activity and hang-out areas below. Developmental skills like climbing, balance, and ropes courses mimic nearby outdoor recreation activities children will grow to enjoy in nature as later on adults.

Our secondary structure, designed for ages 2-5, features 8 built-in activities, is made with 69% post-consumer recycled materials, and can accommodate 15-20 children at a time.

An absolute essential, the swing set includes traditional seats, toddler buckets as well as a modern disc swing for increased accessibility.

The Pyramid Spinner is a huge hit at parks nationwide, and we are thrilled to include it in our plans.
SUSTAINABILITY
Our proposed playground equipment leads the industry in recycled content, averaging over 50% reclaimed material in each structure.
The decks, enclosures, and roofs are made from 100% post-consumer recycled High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) formed from milk jugs.
This process has diverted more than 18 million milk jugs from landfills since 2005!
Additionally, the equipment company has diverted more than 1 million pounds of scrap metal from landfills since 2005 by using recycled metal in manufacturing. That’s equivalent to about 250 cars!
